This DPS has a very unique layout as the article is on both sides of an off centre image in the middle of both pages. This gives the DPS a very interesting look and feel to it when reading it. The DPS has a nice and simple colour scheme with the bright blue in the images and the main tittle of the pages, this is a very good way to attract the audiences attention to the page and give it a strong theme that runs all the way through.
The fonts for this DPS are all very bold and stand out from the general article because of their placement and the bright colours. This is a useful tool to use as it captures the audiences attention straight away when they look at the DPS, the subtitles are also in a bolder font and therefore stand out from the article letting the audience know the subject of the article has changed. The layout of the tittles is very simple as they are all left aligned on the page and sit just above the main body of the article. The size of the 'Doctor Who' from the tittle is bigger than the rest of the tittle as it is meant to instantly grab your attention if your a Doctor Who fan, this works well with the different colours of the tittle as well as the size.
There are only two images on this DPS, the main one is of Brian Cox infront of some of the props from Doctor Who and looks quite quirky between the two halves of the article. The image is very large and is the main focus of the two pages, this does break up the article and bring another level of interest to the page. The other image is a clipped out image of one of the aliens from Doctor who and is used to break up the big blocks of text of the articles.
The overall layout of the page keeps the article interesting and is a bit different from the general layout of a double page spread. This unique layout is something I would like to try and emulate in my own pages, it is just a refreshing look from the conventional DPS that you see in most magazines with a few small images and an entire page dedicated to one image.
