This article is quite classical in its layout and colour scheme used throughout. This is done because of the actress that is the subject of the article is a very classic character in all of the shows and movies she has appeared in so the DPS is designed to represent that.

The font for the tittle and the layout is all very standard and simple, the bold black newspaper like typeface keeps the page looking very classic and simple and to the style of the DPS. The tittle itself 'A dot to be thankful for' is a link to the actresses career on 'Eastenders' as one of the most iconic characters on the show, many articles tittle are clever or have an intended pun in them to engage the audience and show a bit of humour to liven up an article.

The three images on the page show a variety of things. The black and white portrait on the left shows the subject when she started her acting career, as this is an article about how she has spent her life acting it is very justified to have a picture of her at the very beginning of her career. The middle image is of her as 'Dot' from 'Eastenders' as it was and still is her most iconic and loved character, this with the first image shows her progression in the industry. These two images are at a slight angle to make them appear as if they are almost stuck ontop of the article like a scrap book of the actresses life and career. The final big image is a big portrait of the actress now, this image is a brilliant portrait as the subject is off on the far right of the pages and serves as an interview setup so the reader can imagine how the subject will answer the questions.

The text itself is very formal and sticks to a classic layout of two columns and a slightly bigger letter at the start of each paragraph. The general layout of the text is dictated by the layout of the three images and the tittle of the article, this makes sure that the DPS is eye catching as the images and tittle catch the eye of the reader not a solid block of text.
