Before starting to film the documentary me and Zac when to a few different fun locations to see if they would be any good for filming some clips and more importantly if Zac could ride them.
We went to our local skatepark first to film as it was really close and the sun was out after college. Unfortunately Zac is very new to riding skate parks on his bike, this meant we couldn't get that man interesting and impressive shots of the riding. However the clips that are in the final documentary look very good with the impressive weather. The next location we went too was our local downhill trails. This is where Zac has been honing his riding talents on a weekly basis, we didn't need to really scout out these trails as we knew Zac could ride them well and also that the were easy to film on with just a standard 20mm lens.
We also wanted to show a location that was challenging for Zac to ride, for this we went for a drive to some downhill trails owned and maintained by the forestry commission. It was obvious upon our arrival that Zac would need to up his game to be able to get any impressive riding clips at Rogate.
The final location is simply my garage. We thought this would be a good place to film the interview as it shows a link to the riding with the bike and tools, but also is easy to shoot as it isn't outside with the wind or moving branches.
