This double page spread has a very classical look, this is because it is set in the passed and so the DPS has tried to mimic the styles of the era with this DPS.
The fonts used on this double page spread even look classical for the tittle and subtitles of the story. The quote over the image on the right is bordered by two very swirly and classic looking brackets to add to this theme of the DPS. The fonts used are all quite simple and blocky in their design and colour scheme, there is one simple colour used in all of the tittles and some of the subtitles. Most of the main tittle has a drop shadow on the typeface, this makes the tittles stand out a lot on the DPS and asserts itself as a tittle.
The images on this page are all quite simple but also make the page look complete and full, the main image on the right takes up half of the DPS without anything covering it except one small quote positioned around the subjects body. The rest of the images are three small images at the bottom of the article, these three images are clearly not as important as the main image on the right purely because of their scale and positioning beneath the articles.
The alignment of the article is very standard with the three columns of the same size and the three aligned images underneath. The tittles are centrally aligned, this makes the DPS look very organised and gives the tittles priority over the rest of the page. This is important to how the audience read the double page spread with the tittle first as it stands out the most, the eyes are then drawn to the main image of 'Poirot' as it is bold and takes up a lot of room on the page. The article in this case is the least significant part of the page as it is the least interesting part of the page.
