This double page spread is quite open and doesnt contain a lot of article or lots of images, it is all based around the one main image that is the background for both of the pages in this article.The image is very well composed and the imagery stands out a lot from the general layout of DPS's, the subject of the image is walking up an incline on the far left of the pages and the image of the mountain fills the rest of the two pages. The costume of the woman is very typical of snowboarding as a sport with the coat, helmet and snowboard, this tells the audience exactly what the subject of the article will be. Most of the image is fadded/blurred out as it gets away from the subject and more towards the sun in the top right corner, this makes the image a lot more interesting as a background as it is a gradient to the right.
